LoRa, 4G and GPS Personnel Tracking Solution
Solution Overview
Jinshengchang Technology provides a personnel tracking solution for factories, mines, construction sites, hospitals, elderly-care facilities, campuses, hotels and industrial parks. It combines GPS/BDS, LoRa, 4G, BLE and Wi-Fi technologies to support real-time positioning, route history, geofencing, SOS alarms and workforce safety management.
Employees carry a tracking badge, wristband or portable device. Location and alarm data are transmitted to the lora8 IoT platform, where administrators can monitor personnel through a web dashboard or Android/iOS application.
System Architecture
The solution consists of:

Applications

LoRa is suitable for large sites requiring long-range and low-power communication. A 4G and GPS badge is recommended for outdoor mobile workers, while BLE beacons or indoor anchors can be installed for room-level or zone-level indoor positioning.
Actual accuracy, communication distance and battery life depend on building structure, gateway density, reporting intervals and the local network environment. A site survey and pilot test are recommended before full deployment.
