LoRa SOS Badge Manufacturer | Worker Tracking, Emergency Alarm and OEM Solution

LoRa SOS Badge for Personnel Tracking and Worker Safety

A LoRa SOS Badge is a low-power wearable safety device designed for factories, mines, warehouses, construction sites, chemical plants, industrial parks and lone-worker protection. It combines employee identification, long-range LoRa communication, personnel positioning and a physical SOS button in one compact badge.

Shenzhen Jinshengchang Technology Co., Ltd. develops LoRa and GPS tracking hardware, firmware, gateways and the lora8 IoT management platform. Customers can select an existing badge or request a customized OEM/ODM solution.

How Does the LoRa SOS Badge Work?

Each badge is assigned to an employee, contractor or visitor. Identity, alarm, location-zone, battery and device-status data are transmitted through LoRa or LoRaWAN to a gateway. The gateway forwards the data to the lora8 platform through Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G.

When a worker presses the SOS button, the platform can display the employee’s identity, latest location, alarm time and device status. Security personnel can therefore determine who needs help and where the emergency occurred.

For indoor applications, the badge can scan Bluetooth beacons placed in rooms, corridors, workshops and dangerous areas. GPS or BeiDou can be added for outdoor personnel tracking.

Main Functions

One-Touch SOS Alarm

Workers can press the physical SOS button during an accident, medical emergency, equipment failure or security incident. Long-press logic can be configured to reduce accidental alarms.

Indoor and Outdoor Personnel Location

The badge can combine BLE positioning indoors with GPS/GNSS outdoors. LoRaWAN is used to transmit identity, position and alarm data over a private low-power network.

Geofence and Restricted-Area Alerts

Managers can create digital zones around chemical storage areas, high-voltage rooms, machinery areas or other dangerous locations. The system can generate an alert when an unauthorized employee enters or remains inside a restricted zone.

Man-Down and Inactivity Detection

An optional motion sensor can detect a fall, prolonged inactivity or abnormal movement. Alarm thresholds should be tested at the actual workplace to reduce false alarms.

Emergency Evacuation Management

During an emergency, the platform can help managers review personnel distribution, last known locations and assembly-zone arrival records.

Complete LoRa SOS Badge System

A typical Jinshengchang solution includes:

LoRa SOS Badge + BLE Beacons + LoRaWAN Gateway + lora8 Platform + Android/iOS APP + API

For projects requiring higher positioning accuracy, Bluetooth AOA or UWB can be integrated. The final technology should be selected according to the building layout, safety requirements, accuracy target and budget.

FAQ

Is a LoRa SOS Badge the same as an ordinary RFID card?

No. An RFID card normally communicates only near a reader. A LoRa SOS Badge can transmit alarms and status information over a much wider private wireless network.

Can the badge locate employees indoors?

Yes. It can scan BLE beacons or integrate Wi-Fi, RFID, Bluetooth AOA or UWB. Accuracy depends on the selected technology and infrastructure density.

Can it connect to our existing platform?

Yes. Jinshengchang can provide communication protocols, APIs, SDKs and private-server integration.

Can the product use our logo and packaging?

Yes. Logo printing, labels, enclosure colors, packaging, manuals, firmware and platform branding can be customized.

How many gateways are required?

Gateway quantity cannot be calculated from floor area alone. Walls, metal machinery, floor count, antenna height and required coverage must be evaluated through a site survey and pilot test.
